President
Tristan is the Executive Director of El Ayudante and has served in Honduras since 2007. With a heart for the Honduran people and a background in construction, he has helped shape the EA campus and leads with a passion for sharing Jesus through hands-on service.
Vice President
Allan has lived and worked in Honduras since 2002. As founder and president of Pinturas Americanas, his business expertise and connections have been a great support to El Ayudante since 2011.
Secretary
With a degree in Civil Engineering, Betsave has been a key asset to El Ayudante. She works with local authorities and civil groups to improve access to water and sanitation, using her expertise to support complex community projects.
Treasurer
Flor is an Agricultural Industrial Engineer with expertise in Human Resources. As HR Director at Pinturas Americanas, she advises El Ayudante on HR and legal matters.
Legal Voice
Director of Ruach Bilingual School and a school counselor, Dinora is passionate about serving her community and raising future leaders in Honduras. She is active in her church and local ministries.
Vocal 1
Jorge is a respected community leader and teacher in Lo de Reina. Alongside his wife Ana, he supports El Ayudante in education and ministry. They are active in their church and lead marriage classes.
Vocal 2
As the co-director of El Ayudante, Beth leads the Community Outreach department with a heart for empowering others. With a background in Sociology and Social Services, she’s passionate about walking alongside the community to help their dreams become reality.
El Ayudante Missions USA, Inc. is a registered not-for-profit in the State of California with an active board that facilitates all the ministry planning from the States, as well as playing an advisory role to all ministry in Honduras. They actively supervise the giving and bookkeeping of the ministry, including financial audits and accountability. We are very grateful for our US board.
In addition to the board of directors, Mel Cox, founder of El Ayudante, is an active part of the happenings with the ministry. Mel has been a part of El Ayudante from before we even had land! His passion for missions and his heart of compassion for the Honduran people is contagious. Mel is constantly in contact with the directors of the mission and is a wonderful sounding board.
President
An optometrist since 1980, Dr. Jeff co-founded New Vision Ministries to provide eye care to underserved communities. He partners closely with El Ayudante, making regular trips to Honduras to offer vital optical services.
Vice President
Bruce is retired after a long career in engineering, quality, and internal auditing. He frequently visits Honduras to support El Ayudante, where his son Tristan and family serve as directors.
SECRETARY
Jennifer holds a degree from Union University and has a background in education and over 20 years of ministry alongside her husband, Fred. Now based in Memphis, TN, she works in real estate and stays active raising their three sons.
Treasurer
With a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University, Manny has over 35 years in the California wine industry. He recently retired from owning a wine barrel import business and is actively involved in his church and local fundraising.
Member
Mark works as a mortgage loan officer. He previously served as a youth and missions pastor and worked with El Ayudante in Honduras. He continues to serve the Church through mission trips and teaching.
MEMBER
Terry is a retired pastor and has a background in nonprofit work, including directing children’s homes, missionary work, and Boy Scouts leadership.
