El Ayudante began in 1998 with a simple vision: to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of communities in Honduras. Founded by Mel Cox, our mission has grown from providing educational scholarships to establishing a medical clinic and engaging in community development projects.
Rooted in faith and guided by a commitment to empower, we collaborate with families, churches, and local leaders to create sustainable change. Our story is a testament to what God can accomplish through ordinary people answering His call.
