Jesus cares for the most vulnerable. And as His hands and feet, we are called to do the same. Every act of service—whether through medical care, education, or mission work—reflects His love in action. At El Ayudante, we believe transformation happens when communities are empowered, not just helped. That’s why we invest in long-term solutions, working alongside families, churches, and local leaders to create sustainable change.
Together, we are not just meeting needs—we are building hope for generations to come.
El Ayudante began in 1998 with a simple vision: to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of communities in Honduras. Founded by Mel Cox, our mission has grown from providing educational scholarships to establishing a medical clinic and engaging in community development projects.
Rooted in faith and guided by a commitment to empower, we collaborate with families, churches, and local leaders to create sustainable change. Our story is a testament to what God can accomplish through ordinary people answering His call.
