El Ayudante’s Story
is a testimony of how God can prosper a simple act of obedience by everyday people to bring hope and life change to tens of thousands and influence strategic countries in the Americas.
El Ayudante was founded in 1997 and was incorporated in August of 1998. El Ayudante has been established as a non-profit 501( c ) 3.tax exempt organization.
El Ayduante began its ministry in Honduras in 1998 working with orphans and underprivileged children by sponsoring them in Christian schools throughout the capital city of Tegucigalpa.
El Ayudante board members committed themselves, after fasting and prayer, to expand its ministry into Nicaragua in the fall of 1999 . Early in the year 2000 an exploratory team was organized and sent to Nicaragua to explore potential areas of ministry. This team of four flew into Managua and traveled north to León to assess the needs and found a tremendous need to meet the plight of children. They returned with a vision to construct a protection center to serve at-risk-children.
El Ayudante purchased 31 beautiful acres in 2001 near León and began construction of a base of operations to facilitate mission teams which would play a vital role in our mission to Nicaragua. As a 501(c) 3, tax-exempt, non-profit corporation in the United States, the board formalized the ministry’s legal NGO status in Nicaragua.
El Ayudante hosted its first mission team in late 2002 and since has coordinated the ministry of over 6,000 international missionaries to Nicaragua. Mission teams assisted in the construction of our child protection center which today is home to 33 beautiful children. Teams have also brought life changes through a coordinated, holistic ministry to thousands in León and throughout northwest Nicaragua.
El Aydaunte’s ministry goal is to reach all of Central America for God’s Kingdom. Cognizant of its mission, a team was organized and traveled to Honduras to seek a place to expand it’s ministry.. This team traveled north to the Comayagua Valley and quickly began to realize the tremendous need of meeting physical and spiritual needs.. They returned with the vision to establish a medical and dental mission to be used as a tool of evangelism.
El Ayudante purchased 8 acres in 2004 which is located in the foothills of the mountain range surrounding the colonial city of Comayagua , Honduras. They began construction of a new complex similar to its facility located in Leon, Nicaragua. El Ayduante’s mission complex in Honduras is strategically positioned in the “gateway” to 12 villages scattered throughout the mountains and has made a tremendous impact on the physical and spiritual needs of these people.
El Ayudante hosted its first mission team in Honduras in 2005 and since has touched many lives of Hondurans, both young and old. El Ayudante has been blessed to be associated with wonderful missionaries who have been essential to the establishment and continued function of its ministry in Honduras.
El Ayudante ministries continue to evolve under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. El Ayudante leaders are committed to go wherever our God leads and to serve Him throughout the Americas.
